Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever wanted to buy a robot vacuum now's your chance. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. The most significant innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to recognize objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, so you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas that you don't wish to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.

Its design is also an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal It also self-empties which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it around the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand which other robots can't. It did all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who require both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to know if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. These bots also come with a variety of extra features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas, modify your home map or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed it can be accomplished with relative ease. It features a large LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for everyone, but it can help easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. self cleaning vacuum and features are among the most advanced available - but it's also pricey.
It is a relatively small base station that looks great and is able to be concealed when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've used that has done an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the premium price cost.
However, if you're looking to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other options available, including a lot of eufy models priced considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near an electrical outlet and enough space for it to move, however.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. The design is more modest than other models, and features sleek black finish and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The main feature that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and where it can't access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and it's less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
